ONE GROSS FACE

Dive into the world of volume and try to imagine "The Speed in Which Form Turns". This is the way in which Karen approaches every piece she sculpts. Inspired by nature, Cope diligently approaches every figure, portrait, torso and relief as a journey of discovery from subtle transitions to voluptuous forms, twisting torque to doubled compression.

Portraits are especially intriguing as Cope not only captures the physical person but intertwines the essence of their life's story as she sculpts.

"Our journey is written in our physical presence, a story just waiting to be told. My aim is to connect with the core of each person and embed it into every "Note of Clay".
